Two weeks at the Jersey Shore did little to cool off Chris Iannantuoni's hot bat. Iannantuoni returned to the lineup last night and had a career game, collecting five hits, two triples, scored four runs, and drove in eight runners.
Overall, the entire Modsquad lineup produced last night, as the Boys in Purple defeated Amscan 19-8 in a mercy rule shortened game.

Alan Brogdon made his 2011 season pitching debut, as Skipper Frank Vitale continues to tweak the team's ever changing lineup. Despite hitting a little rough patch in the third inning, Brogdon was impressive in his first trip to the hill.
Last night's game saw the return of gentle giant and fan favorite "Big Joel". Joel drove in a run and anchored the infield at first base.
The Sweet Swinging Duo of Roger Swingle and Frank Vitale each collected three hits and played stellar defense in the field. Swingle made a sliding grab in left and Vitale continued his best "Greg Maddux" impression on the mound, doubling up a runner at first for the second time this season.
Eric Klein continued his strong season, collecting three hits and scoring three runs. Klein has fourteen hits on the season, pushing him past his total from last season, and there's still plenty of games left in the season.
'Squad catcher Bobby Pezzullo continued to effectively handle the pitching staff, as he guided the team to its second consecutive win. Pezzullo also walked twice and scored three runs.
Also returning from the Vacation List was Modsquad Minnesotian Kyle Bobek. Bobek drove in two runners thanks to two hits.
3B - Iannantuoni 2 (3), Swingle 1
