After smashing thirty one runs on opening day, the Modsquad lost its home opener 19-10, in a six inning game called due to the expiration of the league's time limit rule.

Missing several members of its opening day lineup, the Squad was forced to play a few of its regulars out of position. Despite scoring ten runs, the team really never got it going offensively, leaving eleven runners on base.

Due to a constantly changing strike zone, Modsquad ace "Big Joel" never really found his groove on the mound. Joel set a season high for issuing free passes, many of which would later come onto score.

The Audio Visual Department managed to produce a box office blunder, with Vitale and Lima combining to go 1-7 while adding a few costly errors in the field.

Despite the overall lackluster performance by the "Boys in Purple", there were some bright spots in the lineup. The Technical Trio of Alan Brogdon, Eric Klein, and Kyle Bobek went a combined 8-11, scoring six runs and driving in three.

Todd Dias went 3-3, driving in a personal best four runs.
