Kristen Bladel, the Modsquad's Superfan/Scorekeeper/Photographer, waited nervously around the on deck circle. She rummaged through the team's supply of bats before she found one that she'd use, and trotted up to the plate, hoping not to disappoint.
Disappoint she did not; in fact, Bladel reached base twice and scored two runs in the Modsquad victory of Reuters last night (Reuters conceded defeat before the game thanks to only being able to field eight players.)

"She can run too" said Modsquad manager Alan Brogdon, "We may have to use her as a secret weapon this year."
Not letting her recent success get to her head, Bladel remarked that she should probably be in the lineup during the week of summer staff and that she "could probably give Dias a run for his money".
The Modsquads' next game is this Thursday at 5:45 against Jackson Lewis.
