Anatomy of a Strikeout

Thanks to an anonymous tip left on my home office line, I found out that a certain Modsquad left fielder struck out in a game against Jackson Lewis.

We're not in the practice of naming sources, but let's just say "she" was at the game, had a really good view of Lima's at-bat, a camera, and a score book.

That's right, Mr. I-Never-Strike-Out-Swinging did just that; struck out swinging.

In a league where your third strike on a foul ball counts as a strikeout, it can be rather easy to "go by way of the k" every once and a while.

But a legitimate swing and miss strikeout? That's something that deserves a little graffiti artwork:

Or if the ball was the same size as the one in this photo, that could have helped too....
