First he threatens to leave the team due to a better offer from a modeling agency. Now, Modsquad Rookie of the Year candidate is looking to add to his sporting resume; this time with a different kind of ball.
Modsquad outfielder and frequenter of the disabled list, Vallejo announced today that he'd be joining the Modsquad Bowlers, a ragtag group of pin hustling baby savers who plan on launching a team in the upcoming Spring/Summer league season.
"I think I've proven everything that needs to be proven on the ball field," said Vallejo, "Time to strut my stuff on the lanes."
Vallejo stated in his press conference that he holds an unofficial lifetime bowling average of 220, and boasts a high score of 190 pins toppled.
We know, it doesn't make sense, but he's just so darn handsome that we tend to overlook the fact that he can't do basic math.
Vallejo is excited for the upcoming seasons. He's already labeled himself "Neon Deion" of the Modsquad, alluding to the 90's two sport start Deion Sanders.
Vallejo will swap his 28 oz bat for a 13 pound Columbia roller, his sliding shorts for a pair of bell bottoms, cleats for a pair of those funky looking clown shoe bowling sneakers, and pine tar for a nice bucket of lane greasing oil.
