Brought in to the West Conference Room under the guise of some unearthly boring meeting, soon to be proud papa Alfrin Vallejo was surprised by his wife, friends, and co-workers as a mid afternoon baby shower was in order.

However, unlike most MOD Baby Showers, Vallejo had to work for his gifts by competing in the first ever (semi-annual, pending pregnancy) "Daddy Olympics".

Vallejo has proved his abilities on the basketball court and softball field, but many wondered how he'd handle the pressure of competing in the "Daddy Olympics".

First up was the baby changing competition. In order to receive his first gift, Vallejo had to properly change a baby's diaper. Armed with baby lotion, a diaper, some fishing wire, and packaging tape, Vallejo scored an 8.3 from the judges after successfully administering said poop catcher in 3.4 seconds; 0.3 seconds short of the world record.

Next, Vallejo needed to identify the correct pairing of parent/baby relations in the Animal Kingdom. here are his answers:

Parent: Cow
Baby: Calf (Correct)

Parent: Goat
Baby: Kid (Initially Wrong, but with a little help from his friends, he got it right).

Parent: Dog
Baby: Puppy (Correct)

For his final task, Vallejo has to correctly identify the contents of five different baby diapers. Within each diaper was a melted chocolate. Unbeknown to the judges, Vallejo is a chocolate connoisseur.

Vallejo guessed correctly (after smelling and tasting each diaper) the candy bars; Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Hershey Bar, Double Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Whoppers.

Vallejo declined to identify the last diaper, which contained Diet Mountain Dew.

After all was said and done, Vallejo and his wife were extremely touched by the party. In an email sent to this reporter Vallejo said "You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for taking the time to plan such an amazing baby shower. Ivone and I were very happy and enjoyed every minute. We'll never forget it."
