Dr. Scott Berns, (1B/2B), made Modsquad history this month, becoming the first player to be interviewed by a public figure, on a topic not related to the recent success of the Modsquad softball team.

Dr. Berns was interviewed by former co-host of the CBS "The Early Show" and current NPR radio host Jane Clayson. Clayson discussed the importance of vaccinating your child with the Modsquad infielder, and Dr. Berns did not disappoint.

Berns was able to handle tough questions, like those regarding vaccines and their supposed link to autism, as well as he is able to handle a hot shot up the middle, or a rocket toss from his double play counterpart, Nick Difranza.

You can listen to the interview by clicking here, or you can download the podcasts on iTunes by clicking here. Make sure you have iTunes on your computer, otherwise the link won't work.

Congratulation to Dr. Scott Berns on becoming the first Modsquad player to be interviewed by a member of an accredited news organization.

Yes, this blog (we're sad to admit) is not actually an accredited news organization.

Yay! Nice Job Scott!! I enjoyed the podcast, especially since I will be out there as a PA in less than 2 months!! It was interesting info and I agree with the need for vaccines. Thanks for the insight!
