Star shortstop Nick DiFranza recently underwent a massive knee reconstruction surgery, leading many to believe that the team now employs a cyborg up the middle.
Posing as a Physician Assistant at a well known surgery center, Modsquad Superfan/Photographer/Scorekeeper Kristen Bladel was able to acquire these top secret photos of DiFranza's transformation into "The DiFranzanator".
"I was there for the surgery," said Bladel "It was horrific, there were all these body parts and metal shiny objects everywhere. This can't be legal right?"
DiFranzanator had been complaining of a nagging knee injury during an offseason hootenanny and decided that total lower body replacement was his only option, if the 'Squad were to win in the playoffs this year.
"Did I sacrifice my soul and become a little less human?" asked the DiFranzanator, "Maybe, but if I lead the team in Home Run this season, it'll be worth it."
